Laura Kemp, CNM-FPA, WHNP-BC is a compassionate pelvic pain and endometriosis specialist providing care to patients in our Chicago, Illinois office. With a deep commitment to her patients, Laura is passionate about addressing the normalization of chronic pelvic pain and she strives to spread awareness about the effective treatments available to those suffering from this often-overlooked condition.
Laura has extensive experience working with patients of all gender identities and is also a trained sexuality educator and counselor. She brings a holistic approach to care, recognizing the complex physical, sexual and emotional dimensions of pelvic pain. Her practice is dedicated to helping patients achieve relief, build confidence and reclaim their quality of life.
Throughout her career, Laura has frequently encountered patients who had previously consulted multiple providers where their reports of pain were downplayed or dismissed and haven’t received an accurate diagnosis or an effective treatment plan for their pelvic pain. With the PRM Protocol™, she ensures that patients receive timely and comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs, empowering them to manage their symptoms and improve their well-being.
For Laura, her mission is to take the time to listen to patients’ experience, validate that what they’re feeling is real, and tailor an individualized treatment plan to address each patients’ unique needs.

I became a nurse practitioner because I have always been an advocate for promoting physical and sexual health education and I enjoy being a trusted partner with people in their journey towards wellness.
Listening to my patients and affirming what they are telling me. I like to help dispel shame and encourage patients to be more present and confident in their own bodies.
Just because it’s difficult to see in traditional medical tests, doesn’t mean it’s not present and potentially devastating. We’ve been told as a society that to be a woman you have to accept a certain form and amount of suffering– that it’s “your cross to carry” as a woman. Sometimes pain can be related to an inflammatory condition, such as endometriosis.
The pelvis is our foundation. If the pelvis is out of alignment, it can affect so many different things in our body.
